Dr. 莎朗·R. 博伊尔 joins the faculty of newbb电子平台 as Director of Arts in Health and Associate Professor of 音乐 Therapy. An experienced administrator, 教育家, music therapy clinician, and clinical supervisor, 博伊尔 spent many years on the music therapy faculty of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, serving as Chair of the Department of 音乐 and Theatre and Coordinator of 本科音乐 Therapy. 在他任职期间, she received several institutional awards recognizing excellence in teaching, 奖学金, 和领导能力.  As a music therapy clinician, she has extensive experience in long-term care and other diverse clinical settings, serving children and adults. 博伊尔 has been a leader in the area of vocal health in music therapy. She has presented both regionally and nationally on topics such as vocal improvisation, music-based approaches in dementia care, and clinical supervision. 博伊尔 is a long-time member of the American 音乐 Therapy Association (AMTA) and maintains her board certification credential from the Certification Board for 音乐 Therapists (CBMT).  She has served as the president of the Association for Indiana 音乐 Therapy (AIMT), on the 音乐 Therapy Perspectives Editorial Board, and on the AMTA Assembly of Delegates.

博伊尔 earned her Doctorate in Health Sciences from Indiana State University, a Master of 音乐 (音乐 Therapy Equivalency) from East Carolina University. and a Bachelor of Arts in 音乐 (vocal performance emphasis) from Linfield College. 除了, she completed post-graduate work studying advanced clinical improvisation and songwriting with Dr. Alan Turry and received training in Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Training and Re-educative 音乐 and Imagery Certification under supervision of Frances Goldberg and Dr. 丽莎夏天.
